"Every Breath You Take" is a song by the band The Police, written by Sting and included on their fifth and final studio album, Synchronicity. The single became one of the biggest hits of 1983. It topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 8 weeks and spent 4 weeks at the top of the UK Singles Chart. In 1984, the song was awarded two Grammy Awards: "Song of the Year" (Sting) and "Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal" (The Police).
