We planned a last minute trip to Lisbon, Portugal to celebrate Lauren's birthday.

Places Visited: Castelo dos Mouros, Cabo da Roca + Boca do Inferno

Following on from the video: We relied on Google Maps and Waze which showed the road as open but the main road to Pena Palace and Castelo dos Mouros is now permanently closed to all private vehicle (i.e hire cars). You can get as far as Estrada da Pena before police will stop all vehicles going any further. You are forced to turn right back down into Sintra. We then parked at Av. Dr. Álvaro de Vasconcelos and caught the 434 bus from Sintra train station (not Portela de Sintra as we found out!).
The bus takes you direct to Castelo dos Mouros and then onto Pena Palace, at the cost of only €6.90 and is a circular route so you can't get particular lost.
