King Erekle II Overlooking Telavi ????????

Standing above Telavi, King Erekle II looks out across the Alazani Valley toward the distant Caucasus Mountains.

Erekle II ruled eastern Georgia from Telavi in the 18th century and remains one of the most respected figures in Georgian history. Today, his statue stands beside the historic Batonis Tsikhe fortress, offering one of the best views in the region.

After years of traveling around the world, places like this remind us why we chose to make Telavi our home. History, mountain views, quiet streets, and a slower pace of life all come together here in the heart of Kakheti.
