Doha Triathlon 2020

The fourth edition of the Doha Triathlon took place on Friday, February 7, 2020, set against the stunning backdrop of the Museum of Islamic Art and the Doha skyline.

Like every year, Doha Triathlon 2020 attracted a large number of amateur and professional athletes of all ages and backgrounds.

Once again, Qatar Living was delighted to serve as the event's official media partner.

Doha Triathlon provides an opportunity to elite athletes, triathlon regulars and once-a-year have-a-go fitness fans to compete in a series of courses involving swimming, cycling, and running.

The event kicks off after sunrise, giving athletes a chance to truly enjoy the scenic outdoors and nature while using all the muscles in their bodies to perform to the best of their capabilities.

This year's race distances included the Olympic distance: 1500m swim, 40 km cycling, and 10km running; Sprint distance: 750m swim, 20km cycling, and 5km running; Super-Sprint: 325m swim, 10km cycling, and 2.5km run.

The event also featured races for children and young adults, giving families a chance to enjoy sporting activities together.

While the triathlon is an individual game, this event allows groups of friends to tackle one discipline each, competing for team relay awards.

This year's edition of Doha Triathlon was organized by Qatar Triathlon Federation and the team behind some other major events such as the Al Adaid Desert Challenge, Ride of Champions and the Qatar National Triathlon Series.
