Update and Info on Wyatts Field in Africa

Thank you for taking the time to read about this fundraiser for Wyatt’s Field. We are selling two different t-shirt designs to raise funds to purchase a 5-6 acre piece of land in Ruhuhu, Rwanda. The cost of the land is $5,000 USD. This land is within walking distance to the Seth-Joshua Home. The Rwanda & Company team will be going back to Africa in April 2020 and plan to start the purchase of the land with the funds that have been and will be raised through this fundraiser. All t-shirt orders/payments must be turned in by Friday, March 20th.

The land will be named “Wyatt’s Field” in memory of the great-grandson of team member, Cheryl Beasley. We hope to grow food there, pant an orchard of fruit trees and possibly have a chicken house on the land. The vision for Wyatt’s Field came when the team learned of Wyatt Fisher’s passing. During that same time, a Rwandan boy died of malnutrition. When the team asked why they don’t just grow food, the response was that they did not have land to grow food on. Team members felt led to help change that. The World Hunger Organization published an article in 2018 that stated that 3.1 million children die each year from malnutrition. Hunger and under-nutrition contribute to more than half of child deaths around the world because it makes children more vulnerable to other illnesses.

Rwanda & Company is a non-denominational group of people founded in 2010 that travel to Rwanda, Africa to share the love of Jesus by providing food, housing, jobs, and schools while spreading the Word of God to those in great need. Many projects have been completed since 2010 such as repairing and digging wells, The Joshua Fund, The Seth-Joshua Home, The Goat Project, sewing schools for single mothers, and much more.
