Unique ZAZ-966 after a complete restoration

This 1967 model,
Chassis No. 492, belongs to the early production series, when the design was still being refined. That is why it has a number of differences from later mass-produced versions.
Distinctive features of the early ZAZ-966:
different air intakes, seats, and interior materials, original two-piece bumpers, a distinctive rear apron, and some structural differences in the hood and trunk lids.
Very few units were produced—these cars were manufactured in very limited numbers and have rarely survived to the present day.
The ZAZ-966 succeeded the ZAZ-965 model.
