fB♭FB♭C (actual), gCGCD (relative) AKA "Double C" or "Hook & Line" or "One-Finger C" tuning.
Demonstrated on an "Edmund Valentine" banjo (Chicago, c. 1890). A cleaner, straighter version of this song was recorded by the Stanley Brothers as "I've Got a Mule to Ride." I learned my version from George Gibson who learned it from Gran Hudson c. 1950. The Stanleys grew up in Virginia just over the mountain from Gibson & Hudson in southeast Kentucky.
