About the Breeders’ Cup World Championships: The #BreedersCup is the olympics of horse racing, bringing together the best of the best to compete on the World’s stage. There are 14 Championships races worth $30 million run across two days, culminating in the richest race of the weekend: the $6M Breeders’ Cup Classic. Unlike the Kentucky Derby, the Breeders’ Cup Classic is open to horses ages three and up. Many familiar faces from the Kentucky Derby may complete, but they are up against older horses with more experience. Winners of the Breeders’ Cup Classic are forever etched in history, often winning accolades such as Horse of the Year and going on to have lucrative breeding careers.
