Independence Doesn’t Mean Less Connection

Yes, teach the practical skills. Practice opening lunchboxes, washing hands, and using the bathroom.
But don’t confuse independence with emotional distance.
Sometimes the children who cling the most are the ones who need a little more connection before they can let go.
