I retired from drinking alcohol.

Been many years in the making, worked the mid shift for some time, would get out of work and my second wind would kick in and keep me up until the infomercials came on and I forced myself to bed. Decided to have a beer or two, to help go to sleep, worked for a bit, but I was concerned about weight gain, so I googled the lowest calorie alcoholic beverage and low and behold....vodka was the result....missed alot over the last 8-10 years as a result. 12-29-19, I put the family through a hell they shouldn't have had to face, when I choked becaused I tried holding back a sneeze as I put food in my mouth, breathed it in and became unresponsive. 18 year old son tried the heimlich and then he and my 20 year old daughter performed CPR while EMS and my 24 year old EMT daughter, who may have violated some traffic laws, came home from work at a local trauma center to assist. My Family, Police Dispatchers, Police Officers, EMT's, Fire Department personnel and Hospital Staff saved my life.....I am truly greatful for everyone. Onto a new and better chapter for Old School!
