Ava Max – “Freaking Me Out” (Studio Performance)

"Pop anthems with a much-needed dose of fiery female empowerment," is how Ava Max describes her work. And cinematic, don't forget cinematic. The Virginia-raised, LA-based upstart fills her songs with vivid scenarios. It looks like she had a blast making the crazed video for "Sweet But Psycho," earlier this year, and director Joseph Kahn's superhero vibe in the official vid for "Torn" is a hoot, too. Max likes action. Which, in performance, means emotion. She pours it all out when she wails through acoustic versions of "Freaking Me Out" and "Torn" in our Times Square studios.
