Invasive species always seem to find a way to third wheel on our sunny nature walks.
This common burdock plant was spotted hiding among some garden ornamentals. While its large leaves might look attractive, common burdock is an invasive species that can shade out native plants by blocking sunlight. It also produces sticky burs that cling to clothing, gear, and pet fur.
