AMAZING River Cruise in BUDAPEST

D12 public transport Boat is one of the cheapest ways to enjoy a lovely river cruise in Budapest.

In this tour you are able to see clearly beautiful landmarks in Budapest. However some of the landmarks that I’ll be mentioning now won’t be perfectly visible in the video as I chose one fixed centred angle for the composition.

You’ll be able to see the four main bridges of Budapest; (Liberty Bridge, Elisabeth Bridge, Chain Bridge and the Margaret Bridge.) Other than the bridges, you’ll be able to see the Hungarian Parliament Building, the Buda Castle, the Fisherman’s Bastion, the Liberty Statue, the Margaret Island, BME University, Rudas and Gellert thermal baths and much more!

Millions of tourists buy public transport tickets in Budapest every year and leave without knowing the fact that river cruises can be included in their tickets.

Other river cruise providers like Hop on hop off, dinner cruises and so… offer limited services with a minimum of 25 Euros.

In 2012, the BKK (the Budapest public transport service provider) expanded the network adding few scenic boat lines.

Any ticket that includes “Budapest-pass” means that you are eligible to use the boat cruises for FREE during the workdays!

A 15-day Budapest-pass ticket for instance… costs 6,300 HUF (around 19 EUR) and your ticket is valid for 15 days from the date of purchase. Allowing you to use all public transport lines: Trams, Buses, Underground Metro, Trolleys and other domestic railways.

ALSO a 750 HUF (Around 2.26 EUR) boat ticket is valid for a single uninterrupted trip on the whole length of lines D2, D11 and D12.

Taking the BKK boats offer a comfortable way of crossing the river. A perfect budget friendly choice for those looking for a cheap sightseeing and a chance to admire the magnificent buildings facing the river.
