Part I: Elegy

We live as we dream – so alone.

Taking rich sips, from a glass of blood wine. From within the veins of a heart of darkness - I am confined.

I fell from grace just to miss the arms waiting to catch me. I slipped through time and egressed into a forlorn ethos.

The lotus I dream is now drenched in rain. No longer of its opulent purple stain.

Wake up…

Wake up; wake up – is this but a dream? Liquidated melancholy flowing inside of me. Pinching at my skin, but still loyal to the nightmare that I’m stuck in.

Writing scriptures of hatred about the ones I love - How is this the person that I’ve become?

What have I become?

I learned to mourn when I learned to love - a fragile gift on the wings of a dove.
The sun is cold, forevermore.

It is foolish to resist the kiss of death.

Part 2: Diatribe

You swore, you swore! I was comfortably numb - but break my heart for I held my tongue.

I trudged through crimson isles in constant envy of your bleeding smiles - and I'll never forgive myself for those futile desires.

I was dying of thirst, and you fed me salt. Now the flowers you returned, once vibrant, now rot.

You’re just a fucking snake, spitting words of venom, infecting those you love, enraging those who hate you. You’re toxic - and alone. You sit upon a serpents throne.

… But it’s my greatest shame; I’m exactly the same. A wilful player in this devils game.
