1,000 Musicians Play Ramones' “Blitzkrieg Bop” in Paris 2019

It started with four guys in New York in 1974.
The Ramones helped ignite a new kind of rock — faster, shorter, louder and stripped down to the essentials.
Then came “Blitzkrieg Bop.”
HEY! HO! LET’S GO!

45 years later, that chant sounded very different.
In 2019, around 1,000 musicians gathered at the Stade de France in Paris and played the Ramones classic together as part of Rockin’1000.

Hundreds of guitars.
Hundreds of voices.
One song.

Decades later, the image of 1,000 musicians playing “Blitzkrieg Bop” together almost feels like the ultimate answer to that statement.
