Zuljanah was the horse of Imam Hussain (as) in Karbala in the year 680 (61AH). This noha describes the dialogue that took place between the horse Zuljanah and Imam Hussain's daughter Sakina (sa). On the10th of Muharram, when Zuljanah returned from the plains of Karbala without Imam Hussain (as) on its back, Sakina knew her father had been martyred. In this heartwrenching noha, she pleads and begs the horse to tell her where he has left her father, so she could find his body and talk to him one last time. Even today, every 10th Muharram, azadars around the world bring a Shabih (replica) of the Zuljanah to the juloos (processions) on Ashura. The noha has been written by Mazher Abidi and composed/recited by Mesum Abbas Naqvi.
