Wudang Bagua Zhang workshop Budapest May 2026 武当八卦掌

3 hours of intensive Wudang Ba Gua Zhang training successfully completed at the beautiful Margaret Island, Budapest ☯️????????

A special thank you to Phoenix Tai chi for organising this workshop and making it possible. We were delighted to welcome an amazing turnout of 22 participants.

This vlog is a brief recap of the workshop and a glimpse into what we explored together during the session.

Over the course of 3 hours, participants immersed themselves in the unique stepping methods, body mechanics, and training principles of Wudang Ba Gua Zhang, including:
☯️ Tang Ni Bu (Mud-Wading Step)
☯️ Ye Di Cang Hua (Flower Hidden Beneath the Armpit)
☯️ Hong Yan Chu Qun (Wild Goose Emerging from the Flock)

We were also informed that this may be the very first structured Wudang Ba Gua Zhang workshop ever taught in Budapest, making the occasion even more meaningful.

What impressed us most was the enthusiasm and dedication of every participant. Whether experienced practitioners or complete newcomers to Ba Gua Zhang, everyone gave their full effort and embraced the challenge with an open mind.

Many participants shared their interest in continuing their studies and learning more deeply about the art after the workshop.
We are truly humbled by the support, enthusiasm, and passion shown by the Budapest Tai Chi community.

As lineage inheritors, it is always encouraging to see the seeds of Wudang culture taking root in different parts of the world.
