Across deserts, kingdoms, revolutions, prisons, cities, and stars,
one figure keeps running.

Not to escape history,
but to move through it.

From the shadows of ancient Egypt,
through the marble roads of empires,

the uncertainty of the Middle Ages,
the brilliance of the Renaissance,

the fires of revolution,
the machinery of modernity,

and the dreams of futures not yet written —
the journey continues.

What fascinated me about Gerry Lee’s illustrations
was not their historical accuracy,
but their sense of curiosity.

A childlike question echoes through every scene:
“What would happen if one person could walk through all of human history?”

The same traveller appears again and again,
crossing centuries as if they were streets,

witnessing humanity at its most glorious,
and at its most fragile.

This piece was inspired by that idea.
A musical journey through twelve windows of civilisation,
twelve moments suspended between memory and imagination.

The world changes.
Empires rise and fall.
Technology transforms everything around us.

Yet the traveller keeps moving forward.

Perhaps that traveller is Jerry Lee.
Perhaps it is the artist.
Or perhaps it is all of us.

Still searching.
Still learning.
Still running toward the next horizon.

To the creator who imagined these worlds,
with admiration and gratitude.

마치 세기를 거리처럼 건너며,
인류의 가장 위대한 순간과
가장 위태로운 순간들을 함께 목격합니다.

이 음악은 그 상상력에서 출발했습니다.

문명의 열두 개 창문을 통과하는 음악 여행.
기억과 상상 사이에 머무는 열두 장면.

세상은 변합니다.
제국은 흥하고 사라집니다.
기술은 우리의 삶을 바꾸어 놓습니다.

하지만 여행자는 계속 앞으로 나아갑니다.
어쩌면 그 여행자가 Gerry Lee일지도 모릅니다.

어쩌면 창작자 자신일지도 모릅니다.
혹은 우리 모두일지도 모릅니다.

여전히 배우고,
여전히 탐험하며,
여전히 다음 지평선을 향해 달려가는 사람들.
