Edward Gingerich was incredibly smart and deemed an outcast among his community. He was the first amish man to be convicted of homicide in 1993. Edward brutally murdered his wife, Katie in front of their two children. This crime tore the amish community of Rockdale, Pennsylvania.This is a very sad case. Crimson Stain by Jim Fisher goes into detail about the case and the amish community where Edward was from. It is on my reading list and I hope after I give it a read to maybe do another video discussing the book and this case even further.
