After the wreck of the brig *Amaranth* in 1837, Margaret Flynn was buried on Mud Island off the coast of Nova Scotia.
Years later, stories claimed her body had turned to stone. When curious visitors repeatedly disturbed her grave, local residents secretly moved her remains and never revealed the new burial site.
Over time, another legend emerged.
Some say Margaret Flynn's ghost still wanders the shores of Mud Island, searching for the grave that was lost to history.
