Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and Czechia reunite as 'V4'

HERE COMES THE V4...AGAIN

Central Europe's most influential political bloc is attempting a comeback.

Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Magyar hosted the leaders of Slovakia, Poland and the Czech Republic, declaring that the Visegrad Four — or V4 — had returned after years of internal divisions.

The group, which has often coordinated positions on European issues, had been largely paralysed in recent years by disagreements over Russia, Ukraine and the leadership of former Hungarian prime minister Viktor Orban.
