One in three children under the age of five undernourished or overweight: UNICEF

According to UNICEF, a third of the world’s children under the age of five are undernourished or
overweight. That makes one in three children under five suffering from malnourishment, and facing lifelong health problems as a result. In Southeast Asia, experts said a diet of convenient
food such as instant noodles has left millions of children deprived of key nutrients. An average of
40% of children aged five and below are malnourished in the Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia.
