How did we get here?
It doesn’t matter; it never did
If you’re asking it’s already too late

The failure of man
Rented bodies kept for gold
Pulled apart and under control
Never ask yourself how much lower they can go
The enemy has teeth for a soul
We’ve all been sold down the river
So you thank them with cirrhosis of the liver
Never ask yourself how much lower they can go
The enemy has teeth for a soul

I hope that you find peace when the spasms cease

How did we get here…
Face down on the floor

Seizing, are you breathing, does it feel a bit like dreaming?
Twitching, but you’re dying, soon another mother will be crying
Slowly taking all of it away
Take it all away

I hope that you find peace when the spasms cease

No comfort
No relief
When the spasms cease

Let your body go
Fast asleep
When the spasms cease
