Mia Initial Adoption Video

Mia is a striking young Mountain Horse type mare. She is a coming 4yo, stands around 14h and is a solidly built young mare. She comes from the Cranbury Sale Barn and came to GAIT, Inc with a pulled groin muscle. After 60 days of healing time, she has began her under saddle training. She has finished 90 days of under saddle and foundation training with Rick Shaffer of R & S Pasos, 15-days of trail training at Skyhawke Farm with Kristy Lenoir Dawn in Franklinville, NJ. She was given the summer to "grow up" a bit more and is now getting some finishing training with Holly Pate of Buckin' H Horsemanship in Mechanicsville, MD

Mia is very naturally gaited and is going to make a wonderful trail partner. We recommend her for an experienced rider because she still needs mileage, is sensitive and is very young. She is a brave and sensible mare who is going to make a fabulous trail partner with potential for longer rides and even Competitive or Distance riding. Mia will do best in a home that plans on giving her a job and with strong herd members. She is not the kind of horse that will do well sitting for weeks before you hop on, she is young and smart and needs to work to be happy.
