Mendelssohn: Christus, Op.97 - Radio Philharmonic Orchestra & Netherlands Radio Choir - Live HD

The Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and the Netherlands Radio Choir led by Jan Willem de Vriend perform the oratorio ‘Christus’, an unfinished piece by Felix Mendelssohn. Mendelssohn started composing it in 1846, but died in 1847. The now performed music, Op. 97, are fragments from the oratoria that were already written. The orchestra, choir and soloists perform the wonderful music during the AVROTROS Friday Concerto of Friday the 20th of December 2019.
