We believe that every child has a right to a safe childhood free of violence. Childhood should be carefree, playing in the sun; not living a nightmare in the darkness of the soul.As a society, we have a collective responsibility to prevent child sexual abuse.To accomplish this, we must initiate and support services and policies that enhance children’s development, health and safety and we must advocate for policies and programs to help meet the basic needs of children and families.A powerful public education message must be transmitted to the general public, encouraging society to recognize that child sexual abuse is both everyone’s problem and responsibility.
