Well hello there, everyone!
After I worked on this for a whole 8 hours (I'm definitely editing too little lately, I'm getting slower), my external hard drive nearly crashed and half of my new year's eve consisted of keeping an eye on the recovery/checking program. The gods were kind and it actually survived - apart from the rendered version of this. seriously. just this one video; everything else is apparently completely fine?? Well, thankfully the project data survived, so here we are! Happy New Year everyone!

I promised you a progress video of our sweet devil in disguise, so here it is, just 3 days late to our 2nd anniversary.
Can't believe we only own pictures but no videos of her very first week… she definitely looked worse compared to the January clip here and that was just about a week difference. Or maybe I just feel like that.
Working with her has been a ride ever since tbh. She wasn't only missing balance and muscles but also genuinely hated/was scared of her saddle because her very first one really didn't fit. And the gods only know where her fear of sticks comes from. Nowadays she's only bothered when they make noises, that really still puts her on edge but back in 2018 she already had that terrified look when you only held it around her and touching her with it made her all tense immediately.
Fastforward a couple of months and a couple of days of pure desperation and we're here: she's more focused and calmer, more trusting, her balance is way better and her muscles are doing good. Still some issues with her saddle whenever it's not fitting and currently still signs of dislike even though we had that fixed once more very recently but she's not running from fear anymore. We still haven't changed her bit tbh but that's only for safety reasons when she's having a bad day and we're out in the field, close to roads. Still no pressure if not absolutely necessary.
We still got a long way ahead of us but we're doing good and I'm very proud of her, of us.
Never lose hope with the fiery and young ones.
