Life With Louie: The Sounds of Children

Louie is a bit concerned about sounds coming from unknown sources such as the sounds of children playing in the distance.
Today's walk coincided with recess at the nearby school. When we were outside he oriented towards the sounds. He could not see where the children were.
I let him wander, sniff, and take in as much information as he needed. Much of the time was spent standing in one spot simply looking and listening.
The leash was always slack allowing him to move where he felt comfortable. That shifted between closer and further from the source.
At one point he moved closer but the school borders a public park. For safety I chose to stop at that point because he is not yet vaccinated and I didn't want to expose him to that environment.
My plan is to take him out around the same time so we can normalize those sounds and eventually movement of the children as well.
