How Meeting Alex Trifu Touched My Heart

My name is Matt and I am writing this for Alex and his Family:

I met Alex and his wife the other day in front of the Target off Ben White in Austin, TX.

I was wrapping up a phone call in my vehicle and could hear this music playing. I looked at my radio and noticed it was off. The moment I opened my door, I could hear this beautiful music playing in the distance.

As I approached I saw a man playing an accordion l like I have never seen before. He had a small speaker setup that played the accompany to the song and he added the accordion to it. It was amazing...he was playing all current and prior hits. He did it all from memory!!!

There was a small children's box with drawings of animals on it and was being used as a tip jar.

My son and I listened for several minutes...it truly was beautiful to watch him play.

His wife would occasionally held up a sign explaining that Alex had lost his job and they were trying to buy food and resources for their 3 children. He was at risk of losing his him too.

I spoke to Alex and could tell that asking for help was really hard to do and he wasn't looking for handouts...he wanted to earn it and in this moment he was taking to the streets to entertain people with his gift of music. While he appreciated the tips, he was really looking for a job. 

He’s doing everything he can to create opportunities, including playing his beautiful music outside of Target.

Job Opportunities:
-Construction
-Painting
-Handyman
-Etc...he's great at learning anything!
-Music...It would be a dream come true to make a living with his music

One thing is for sure...his faith is unshakable. He is a very grateful man and loves his family with his entire heart.

He received some donations and tips that allowed him to buy food for the family. He sent me a picture of his full shopping cart, overjoyed with gratitude.

I am asking boldly today for your help!

As someone who makes a living off social media, I don’t care if anyone ever likes my posts again.  All that matters to me is serving this family and I know that Alex and his family are the type of people who will pay it forward.
