Holy Dragons is a Heavy/Power Metal Band from Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Formed in 1992!

Since the beginning to the present day the main musical direction for the group has been Heavy Metal.The Band sticks to the 1980s style.In addition,one can trace the influence&identify the components of such styles as Speed Metal,Power Metal,Hard Rock,Techno Thrash&some other styles in the Music of Holy Dragons.

Holy Dragons return with a new album,a continuation of the first part of the conceptual,philosophical techno-fantasy saga "Guardians of Time".The story,dedicated to the mystical "Guardians",humanity's place in the space-time continuum&the survival of humanity as a species amidst ever-increasing threats&challenges,is approaching its logical conclusion,which remains open-ended finale,leaving humanity's survival uncertain&its future uncertain.

The album's finale features the longest ever composition in Holy Dragons' history,lasting for 16 minutes.Its structure,however,fundamentally differs from the traditional approach to long metal compositions.The album's musical range extends from fast tempo speed/heavy/power metal to art rock forms inspired by the large-scale conceptual works of the late 1970s.The work represents a thoughtful balance between melody,drive,polyphonic richness of instrumental parts,a certain complexity of musical architecture&technical performance,which is not an end in itself.

The band's main musical composer,guitarist Jurgen Thunderson,combines shredded technical elements,literally singing melodic guitar lines&blues-inspired phrasing in his approach.The solos&lead parts on this album may appeal to fans of highly technical modern guitar playing.Chris "Thora Thorheim" Caine,who combines vocals&guitar,handles the vocals&most of the lyrics.Her vocals are a harsh&assertive NWoBHM explosion of emotion,without the "symphonic metal" element,with nods to Doro Pesch&a raw,almost punkish energy in the vein of Wendy O. Williams.

Today's Holy Dragons are an accomplished band with international status,considered (according to the opinion of the musical press) one of the main regional leaders in traditional metal music.The band takes a liberty not to follow newfangled sound markers,but also isn’t trying to pretend that the "eighties aren't over yet."This is the nineteenth full-format album of the band,which has existed since the early 90s.

The album is aimed at a broad international audience who appreciate a serious approach&melody combined with drive,with a melodic signature that is easily recognizable&associated with this band,as opposed to the common widespread&welcomed approach that emphasizes distinctive "ethnic" sounds&the demonstration of exotic ethnical elements.
