Ah, the joy and happiness of being alcohol free. Even those folks who have been alcohol free for a handful of years describe a level of health and optimism that is nothing short of amazing. Teetotalers rarely such an awe of life as those who have gone alcohol free.

The reason non-drinkers don't have the same optimism is because they never created the world we did with alcohol. They have always had the control we just regained. Getting your ability to feel joy neurochemically back after suppressing it for years with alcohol is like having a second chance at life.

Not to mention the relief from silencing the crazy mind around drinking and all the circular thoughts.

So it’s like walking into a brand new amazing life.

This produces the euphoria.

With someone who is tee total they haven’t had that shift out of uncomfortable, they were never uncomfortable to begin with. So the non-drinker optimism doesn't revolve around an alcohol haze.

It’s like the joy you feel removing a very tight pair of shoes. If you don’t ever put them on then there is no joy in the removal. Non-drinker optimism doesn't exist because they didn't create the jaded world in the first place.
