Following years of radar surveys that revealed massive underground anomalies matching ancient descriptions, official excavation work is now underway near the Hawara Pyramid.

However, rising groundwater is flooding parts of the site, forcing teams to combine traditional archaeology with advanced 3D modelling and digital reconstruction while engineers develop ways to safely continue the dig.
