Drawing Fly Agaric Mushrooms | Soft Pastel Forest Timelapse ????

In this soft pastel timelapse, I’m drawing a small fly agaric mushroom scene on dark anthracite Pastelmat paper

For the first layer, I used the alcohol blending technique to soften and fix the pastel. This technique helps create smooth base layers and allows the paper to hold more pastel afterwards.

Unfortunately, I didn’t use the ideal alcohol for this process, and some of it leaked under the masking tape, leaving an uneven border around the artwork. But I still wanted to include this part in the video because art doesn’t always go perfectly — and I think mistakes and experiments are part of the creative journey too

Materials:
• Clairefontaine Pastelmat paper (dark grey anthracite)
• Rembrandt soft pastels
