DOH, DOF: Additional excise taxes on alcohol, e-cigarettes win-win solution for PH | Matters of Fact

A proposal to raise excise taxes on alcohol, e-cigarettes and vaping products should be seen as a win-win solution for the Philippines, both in terms of health and the economy. That's according to Finance Assistant Secretary Tony Lambino and Health Undersecretary Eric Domingo. Domingo and Lambino both say it will decrease the number of people smoking and drinking in the Philippines as well as generate money for the country's universal healthcare program.
