did the handmaid’s tale NEED a sequel??? ‘the testaments’ reviewed by an english lit student

*NO SPOILERS* I read Margaret Atwood's 'The Testaments' - the sequel to 'The Handmaid's Tale' - to see if it just as good as the first novel, or whether it was more of a.... wait for it.... handmaid's FAIL. I absolutely loved the original after studying it for my A Level in English Literature but was skeptical about how necessary this version was. Here's my spoiler free analysis!
