Backup stoves, Hexamine vs Alcohol. Star fire, alternative method.

I have an old esprit stove and I want to see what's the most effective fuel I can store in it, hexamine blocks or a small Alcohol burner.
I also light another star fire ( the perfect summertime camp fire IMO) this time I use 4 logs instead of 3.
