Alcohol free weekend? : Fury over Matiang'i bar order

Bar owners and lovers of alcoholic drinks have expressed concern over orders by interior cabinet secretary Dr. Fred Matiang'i to close all bars during the census exercise citing loss of business and interference with their right to luxury.

A section of bar owners say they had already placed orders worth over 100,000 shillings and will now be forced to find alternative ways of catering for clients who had already made prior bookings for special events including birthday parties.
