The video for Hit Me Where It Hurts brings together five of New Zealand’s best music video directors for a kiwi collaboration like no other.

With bodies of work that read like a who’s who of NZ music, with over 150 music videos in the can between them, Chris Graham, Greg Page, Alexander Gander, Charlotte Evans and Petra Cibilich now bring their talents to the latest from Alae, with ground breaking results. Alex Farrell Davey from Alae said “We presented a pretty out there concept to this group of directors and amazingly all of them agreed to pick a story-line out of a hat to create their of video, which forms their section of the final clip.

Our directors have told amazing visual stories for Scribe, Chelsea Jade, Mint Chicks, Aldous Harding, Marlon Williams and many many more of NZ’s best, so it feels equally greedy and bloody amazing to have them all work on a Hit Me Where It Hurts for Alae.”
