Woman killed in Greater Noida as 17-year-old crashes SUV into her

A woman was killed while she was walking on the roadside after a speeding SUV allegedly driven by a 17-year-old lost control and hit her in Greater Noida.
The incident took place near CRC apartment complex in Greater Noida on Thursday and was captured on CCTV. The victim was identified as Shilpi, 27, from Jatpura village in Uttar Pradesh’s Hardoi and was currently living in Bisrakh in Greater Noida.
In the video of the incident, Shilpi can be seen walking on the roadside when the SUV, which was allegedly driven by the teenager, lost control and hit her. The accused teen then ran away from the scene.
The police registered a case and Shilpi’s body was sent for postmortem. They also launched a search operation for the accused.
Following an investigation, the police found that the car was driven by the 17-year-old. The teen has been detained and is being questioned. Police said that appropriate action will be taken against him after the investigation.
