entire description before buying.
Radio only - no batteries, no accessories (requires 4.5v NEG. TIP Polarity AC adapter or 3 "D" Cells)
When received radio worked on FM  but NOT on AM (Didn't try AIR....seldom hear anything there when random tuning.)
Opening case revealed evidence of battery leakage ...seldom see one that has not had some leakage or corrosion due to neglect.
Close inspection of circuit board revealed corroded trace in upper right hand corner far away from battery/terminals.
I repaired trace with copper wire and used clear fingernail polish to secure in place.  (SEE PIC. #3)
I have cleaned the inside case where there was evidence of battery leakage BUT  there is no corrosion around battery connections.  It is beyond logic to me as to how the trace became damaged.  Most pictures on inside of radio so you can see what you are getting.
RESULTS:
Radio NOW works on AM  and I was able to tune in the only local commercial broadcast station as well as HAM transmission on the 80 meter band (3.950)  by just extending the built-in antenna which is straight.  The display light works, is very dim but replacing it is not worth the risk of damaging some other part of the radio. (Design of these radios requires extreme care in disassembly)
