  • Condition: The pen is in excellent shape... except a lot of things. The cap is missing. The vacu-fil system hasn't been serviced, and the knob end of the pen can't screw on properly to the central axle of the filling system. With that said, the nib is smooth as butter, the ink flows great when writing, the body is free from scratches and dents, and is in great shape for a 70-something year old pen.

    Description

    This striated green Sheaffer Lifetime Triumph 1000 Vacuum Filler has seen some love over the years, but somewhere along the line the cap has gone missing. The pen is otherwise in very good shape, with a keen shine to the nib and very little scratching on the body or the nib. But... t
    he pen is missing its cap, and the knob end doesn't screw on properly to the filler axle. I wrote with the nib by just dipping it in ink, and it wrote beautifully! (Well, my hand writing didn't get more beautiful, but the nib performed wonderfully! :) ) I am pretty certain though that with the right service this pen could work again. The missing cap is of course an issue, but you could also use this as a pen for parts when repairing other pens. Just the nib itself is a treasure!
    The slight upwards bend of the nib isn't a defect, it's a feature! It was made this way to enable the nib to work better on carbon paper.
