Radio Shack, Realistic DX-160 Receiver/Radio, Restored and In Great Condition!

Description

This is an auction for a Realistic DX-160. One 100pF cap was replaced.  it’s been aligned to the best of its ability for its age. The body has been cleaned up from rust and years of use. All the pots have been cleaned and are free of scratchy noises. All the dials have been cleaned and shine like new. Speaker operates as expected. S-Meter works. Band spread works. Main tuning works. All switches and knobs work. Lamps work. All lamps are original. Weak solder joints have been reflowed with fresh solder to maximize signal strength.
This radio LOVES a good antenna set up. A long wire or dipole set up works great! I’m running a long wire set up in my trees and it’s roaring with signals.
LW picks up CW beacons
AM works great!
SW works great!
BFO/SSB seems to work great on all bands
This radio is in great condition. Just minor signs of use over the years. See pics. You won’t find a DX-160 in this physical and working condition for less.
