Description

~ A Matched Set of 3 Unusual Georgian Sterling Silver Dinner/Salad/Hors d'Oeurves Forks ~
~ In the Kings Hourglass Pattern with the Rare Union Shell Heel~
~ Made in London in 1813/16, during the reign of King George III ~
~ By Wm Eley, Wm Fearn and one by Wms Eley, Fearn & Chawner ~
These lovely Georgian Silver Dinner Forks are in the Kings Hourglass Pattern. They are most unusual as one outside tine has been shaped into a knife blade. We believe these were done at the point of manufacture and not altered since. They could possibly be large Salad Forks or Hors d'Oeuvres Forks, enabling the user to eat with one hand.
They are a very good weight, the pattern still very crisp and the tines are in excellent condition - please see photos.
They are 8" in length and weigh 276 grams total.
The hallmarks are very good on all 3 forks -
2 Are Hallmarked -
