Mappin, Webb & Co. Sterling 3 Arm Epergne 13" h, 29.32 ozt Ca London 1909/10

Description

Mappin & Webb was a very large manufacturer of sterling silver items in the UK.  One can find their silver marked for London as well as Sheffield.  They currently operate stores worldwide.  I have seen their silver products in Harrod's in London.  This lovely epergne consists of a base, a vase with three arms, and three smaller vases that sit at the ends of the three arms. The piece is solid sterling with each separate piece hallmarked for London 1909/10.  It stands 13", and has a spread of approximately 12".  It is in outstanding condition.  The base is affixed to the vase with a sterling screw through a piece of sterling soldered to the vase's interior.  Please see our fine Tiffany, Gorham, Unger Bros., as well as fine silver by other makers.  Please contact us if you have questions.
