Description

For sale is a fine quality English sterling KINGS pattern fish serving set by George W. Adams, London, 1863-64. The slice is 12 1/2 inches long and the fork is 10 1/8 inches.  Together they weigh 311 grams.  The server blade and tines are pierced.  The handles are a classic English KINGS pattern.  The set is engraved with a crest of  seated lion with one paw on a shield.  The pieces are marked with a small “7” or “Z” journeyman’s mark, the (GA) maker’s mark of George W. Adams, and full London hallmarks for 1863-64.
Condition on the set is very good.  There is just normal wear from use.  A fine antique serving set!
