Georgian Campaign Sterling Silver William Potter Shave/Barber Set

This is a rare find. I have not seen a set quite like this.  Shave kit holder and soap box where made in 1807, all pieces fully hallmarked, with ebony wood handle. All in excellent, for age, condition. Only notable issue is the side lid does not close all the way. Matching shave brush, both pieces hallmarked 1808. Condition is good on these. From the little research I have done, it seems these kits where military, for officers in the field.  The quality and craftsmanship are very nice, while still being able to see hammer marks on the interior of the pieces. Included is a old, but not as old, shave brush i belive to be, almost unused, beavers hair. It compliments the collection overall and is how it was found. Weight of the sterling pieces is 502 grams.
