ENGLISH STERLING SLVER GEORGIAN PAIR OF CANDLESTICKSMADE BY THOMAS BLAGDEN & Co LONDON

Pleased to offer a fine example of Georgian sterling in the form of two matching candlesticks. Made in Sheffield in 1823 this pair of richly decorated Roccoco candlesticks are in most excellent condition.
Standing 9 inches tall and 6 inches wide at the base, these candlesticks are weighted, with original packing, and no felt covering. Deeply carved made from a thick gauge of silver the workmanship is most pleasing to both the eye and feel. Two matching original bobbeches have matching hallmarks to each base.
Clealry punched to both bases and nozzles with the following marks: The lion passant for assayed English sterling, the makers mark of T.B & Co within a shield for Thomas Blagden, city mark of a crown for Sheffield, Date letter of "U" for 1823 and regents head for George IV.
An absolutely splendid pair of Georgian candlesticks in fine condition priced fairly at 95.
