FITTED  CASE.
This is a fabulous Antique English Sterling Silver Spoon in Fitted Case.
John Sanderson.
Sheffield, 1903.
Edwardian period.
The spoon is fully hallmarked with English Solid Silver Hallmarks for Sheffield, 1903 and the Maker's Mark 'JS' of John Sanderson.
The spoon is beautifully engraved with Flowers and Foliage on both sides of the handle and the back of the bowl.
Superb Quality.
Lovely Black Leather Fitted Case with Blue Velvet and Satin lining.
This would make a wonderful gift or a great ice cream or dessert spoon for yourself

A fine quality piece of Antique English Sterling Silver Flatware.
Length
: 6 1/4 inches (16 cm)
The front of the handle is discreetly engraved with initials that appear to be 'HB' (the initials are fairly hidden within the fancy engraving).
Good, Heavy Gauge Sterling Silver.
The spoon weighs 24.7 grams (0.78 troy oz).
The
re is some minor overall wear from age and gentle handling.
The very tip of the spoon is pushed in very, very slightly (this is an
extremely minor
issue and is only being mentioned for Absolute Accuracy).
The
Fitted Case
has some scuffs and wear from age and handling, but it still opens and closes very well, just as it should.
Otherwise, it is in Very Good
Condition
