CIRCA 1947 SHEAFFER TRIUMPH SENTINEL DELUXE PLUNGER FILL FOUNTAIN PEN RESTORED

Description

For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Gorgeous Restored Circa 1947 Sheaffer Oversize Triumph Sentinel DeLuxe Lifetime White Dot Plunger Fill Fountain Pen in the Gray Striated Celluloid. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned, and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition.
I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, section, and barrel. Replaced the old packing unit with new and added a new plunger gasket. Hand polished the 2-Tone brushed stainless cap with gold plated cap band and gold-filled clip and 14K Gold 2-Tone NIB. I also cleaned, buffed, and polished the barrel, cap, and blind cap to bring back the vibrancy and to protect the celluloid of the fountain pen.
This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no dings, dents, chips, cracks, teeth marks, or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The cap has a "frosty" stainless cap with no dings or dents and polished to a beautiful shine. The barrel is clearly stamped with, "W.A. SHEAFFER PEN CO. FORT MADISON, IOWA, U.S.A. MADE IN U.S.A. 1500". The barrel transparency of the barrel is highly visulated with black pinstriping and it is near water clear, albeit, with mild ambering. There are no monograms or personalizations on the cap or barrel. The "White-Dot" is placed at the end of the blind cap. This Sheaffer Oversized Sentinel DeLuxe Fountain Pen measures 5 1/8" in length capped and 5 7/8" posted. The diameter measures 1/2" at the widest area.
The plunger filling system has been restored to work again. I have r
eplaced the old packing unit with a new packing unit, plunger rod, and added a new plunger gasket. I
have tested the plunger filling mechanism with water and fills and dispenses as it should. The Plunger Filling System works excellent and holds an enormous amount of ink.
This Sheaffer has the gorgeous Two-toned Conical 14K NIB. The actual writing portion, the iridium, of the 14K Sheaffer NIB has a medium point measuring roughly .65mm when measured with digital calipers. When creating a writing sample, the NIB writes with a fine stroke/line measuring between .52mm to .58mm when measured with digital calipers. The writing sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue-Black Ink.
This is a great Sheaffer Triumph Sentinel DeLuxe Fountain Pen in the Gray Striated Celluloid that would grade in Excellent to Near Mint Condition. This model was intended as a high line model, initially offered black, green, and gray striped celluloid barrels. Certainly, this fountain pen is collector grade and this fine writing instrument is ready to write with or just add to your writing arsenal collection.

Refunds:
Item must be returned within 14 days of receiving it and in the same condition as received. The item cost will be refunded. (Buyer pays all shipping and insurance). Item must be returned with Delivery Confirmation. Item must be returned to qualify for a refund. I do not give refunds for uninsured items if they get broke in shipping. ( I do pack carefully, I do not want them to arrive broken.) Some of my listings include insurance on shipping. Please make sure they do, if not please request it, if you would like it added.
