    Description

    For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Mint Condition, New Old Stock, Never Inked Sheaffer 800 "Dolphin" Line Fountain Pen & Pencil set in Black color with a 14K Fine Dolphin nib still with Chalk Marking on the barrels. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned, with a new sac and o-ring being updated to the pen.
    This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks, teeth marks, or repairs with the cap always securing to the barrel. The cap has the Gold Filled "Loss Proof" Spring-loaded Clip marked "SHEAFFER'S" that displays in perfect condition. The fountain pen barrel is stamped, "SHEAFFER'S - MADE IN U.S.A.". There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. There is no brassing or wear to the cap or the clip and cap banding. This Sheaffer 800 Fountain Pen measures 5 3/8" in length capped and 5 5/8" posted. The barrel is still chalk marked on the barrel with, "800 T.D. PEN FINE .95". The pencil measures 5 1/8" inches in length, is "Twist-activated" and is chalked with ".00".
    I have hand polished the Cap Clip, Cap Banding, and Nib. This Sheaffer Pen has been disassembled, cleaned, and inspected for any defects before reassembling. The Touchdown Filling System has been restored and we installed a new rubber sac and o-ring, - all been replaced with correct reproduction parts. The Touchdown filling system draws ink as it should.
    The 14K Gold Dolphin Sheaffer Nib has a fine point measuring roughly .58mm when measuring with digital calipers. I have not written with this Sheaffer 800 Dolphin as I wanted to keep it in Mint, New Old Stock, Never Inked Condition for the next collector.
    This set comes with a Sheaffer Box which is in excellent condition.
    These Sheaffer 800 Dolphin Fountain Pen & Pencil Sets are becoming more and more collectible. Collectors love the Dolphin style nibs and these pens are steady workhorses for writing long periods. This Sheaffer 800 set is in ready-to-write condition or just add to your writing arsenal collection.
